Bio
Amber Unkle is an NYC-based production designer primarily working on narrative episodic series and feature films. Known for a distinct, materials-driven, and diverse style, she has contributed to numerous projects throughout her career. Early on, she served as Art Director on genre-bending projects such as DARK, executive produced by Joe Dante (GREMLINS), and THE TRANSFIGURATION, which premiered at Cannes.
She has Production Designed a variety of features including THE GIANT (TIFF), the WWI-era horror film BUNKER, and the 1970s period bio-pic AUDREY'S CHILDREN starring Natalie Dormer (GAME OF THRONES) from acclaimed director Ami Canaan Mann. Her episodic credits include Shane Gillis' Netflix comedy TIRES, Liz Garbus' I’LL BE GONE IN THE DARK for HBOMax, GONE GIRLS: THE LONG ISLAND SERIAL KILLER for Netflix, Anthony Caronna’s LAST CALL: WHEN A SERIAL KILLER STALKED QUEER NEW YORK for HBOMax, and Nanfu Wang’s MIND OVER MURDER for HBOMax.
Most recently, Amber designed Tyler Savage's surrealist thriller ODDITIES, which is set to premiere in 2026. She is represented across all areas by Alexander Creatives.
